Self-Esteem and Confidence Building

Sometimes in life things happen that seem to take our spark away. This can lead to questions of worthlessness and our role in the world. ISC Counselling looks at finding and connecting to this spark.

Depression

A sense of hopelessness, lacking connections, feeling filled with sadness, and a heart full of pain. Feeling overwhelmed and disconnected to the world around us, as the depression envelopes us. I can help you find your path again.

Anxiety

Feeling stressed, with a mind full or worry. It feels like you can explode with the tension inside. This can make your heart race and breathing quicken, exacerbating the sensation. ISC Counselling explores causes of stress and strategies to reduce it.

Grief and Loss Support

A loss of someone or even something, that has great meaning in your life, can leave you feeling heart broken, in pain, and confused. These loses can make people question themselves. ISC Counselling talks about the relationships to the loss, to try to find understanding, and reducing the chaotic emotions, to understand the pain and make new connections.

Existential Crisis

Not fitting in with what you are doing, not sure what you are doing. Feeling confused about one’s place in the world, wanting more from life, and on times being unable to focus. This can be linked to identity. ISC Counselling looks at individual values to uncover our internal compass.

Trauma Counselling

Trauma is an unpleasant event that has happened and for whatever reasons usually stress, fatigue or he inability to escape, has not been processed properly. ISC Counselling stays at the side of our clients, whilst we explore and reporcess the traumatic event to overcome panic attacks and more.

  • 2. No Obligation Free 20 Minute Telephone Call

This initial conversation helps me identify issues and possible desired outcomes. I can then assess if I have the right skills to assist you. If not I can proactively assist with further introductions if you require. This also give you the opportunity to ask any questions

  • 3. Next Step

This initial conversation helps me identify issues and possible desired outcomes. I can then assess if I have the right skills to assist you, or if not, I can sign post you onto more specific help. I can proactively assist with further introductions if you require

  • 4. First Session Together

We will talk about what about what bought youth counselling and try to understand what outcomes you want to achieve. Here you can ask any question. From then on, if all goes well, we can start the all important therapeutic relationship.

  • 5. Sessions

It is hard to say how many sessions each person will require. I would advise a minimum of six, as this will give time for the therapeutic relationship to develop and the exploration of issues. Working to twelve session is common, though this can be reduced or extended depending on the individual circumstances. Generally people get more results the more effort that they put in.
